For this page we asked some of the members why they liked Orpington Baptist Church .. "Just give me a line or two; What is the first thing to come to mind?"

"It's a welcoming church. It's multiracial.  There are a lots of children and youths involved in the church.  There is so much going on all the time.  I've got a lot of friends there". Joan.

"It's a friendly church.  It's not pretentious; what you see is what you get". Brett.

"Because I have a lot of friends there.  It's like a big family.  We have a good cross section of ages, babies to elderly and that makes it interesting.  The services are good Christian teaching, you learn from them.  The sermons are often a surprise, it depends who is preaching". Wendy.

"It's like an extended family; lots of backgrounds and ages of people that are interested in you.  There is something for everybody in the family, all interests are catered for.  It's good on Sunday to worship in a large crowd". Paul.
